The Shabbos Angels is an ongoing initiative to help sustain our community through weekly contributions provided to needy families to help purchase food for Shabbos.Members of The Shabbos Angels commit to contributing Tzedakah every Erev Shabbos, on a recurring basis. Any amount helps – $5, $10, $18 or more!
By participating in this initiative you will help members of our community enjoy a peaceful and worry-free Shabbos, be it your friend, your neighbor, or your relative. Your weekly donation can make a difference!
CSSY distributes weekly food vouchers of $135 to over 150 families allowing them to purchase food for Shabbos. We need your partnership to fund these families for Shabbos. It is a tremendous mitzvah to give tzedakah before Shabbos and we ask you to fulfill this mitzvah with CSSY.

For over 40 years, CSSY has been the first stop for families in Crown Heights. Every week, families rely on CSSY’s food vouchers, while hundreds more receive support for Yom Tov. From food vouchers and mental health support to backpacks, school supplies, Chanukah gifts and more, CSSY is there, assisting widows, orphans, the ill and homebound and large families discreetly and with dignity. Your neighbors, friends, and relatives depend on this lifeline.
